ARCHAEOLOGY

Archaeology, sometimes spelt archeology, is the study of human activity through the recovery and analysis of material culture.

Archaeology, also spelt archeology, the scientific study of the material remains of past human life and activities.

The word comes from the Greek Archaia (“ancient things”) and logos (“theory” or “science”).(from Greek ἀρχαιολογίαarchaiologia from ἀρχαῖοςarkhaios, "ancient" and -λογία-logia, "-logy")

These include human artefacts from the very earliest stone tools to the man-made objects that are buried or thrown away in the present day: everything made by human beings—from simple tools to complex machines, from the earliest houses and temples and tombs to palacescathedrals, and pyramids.

Archaeological investigations are a principal source of knowledge of prehistoric, ancient, and extinct culture

When we look at the past, many
  • human species,
  • clans,
  • civilizations,
  • kingdoms and empires
lived in the Anatolian Geography.

In fact, Bursa, where I studied archaeology, has a very old past in the city.

Archaeology has many sub-branches/subfields. The subfield of archaeology are...
